David Buller Memorial Scholarship

The David Buller Memorial Scholarship was established at the University of Toronto following the tragic death of a highly respected senior lecturer in the Visual Studies program in the Department of Fine Art.

The scholarship is awarded to a graduate student enrolled in the Masters of Visual Studies program, thereby providing critical financial assistance to aspiring artists. During the first year, friends, family, students and colleagues generously contributed to the scholarship, and these contributions were matched by the University of Toronto.

Past recipients of the David Buller Memorial Scholarship include:

2013 - Roya Akbari
2012 - Ido Govrin
2011 - Julius Manapul
2010 - Francisco Fernando Granados
2009 - Blake Williams
2007 - David Court
2006 - Deanna Bowen
2004 - Andrea Cooper
2003 - Catherine Heard
2003 - Jean Paul Kelly

The family and friends of the late Professor Buller would like to enhance this scholarship to continue to provide a living legacy to David Buller’s passion in the field of visual studies, and to continue to award prestigious scholarships to deserving graduate students.
